Getting to know your pediatrician
Hi! I'm Dr. Austin Dupont, a pediatrician passionate about providing trusted, compassionate, and down-to-earth care to children and their families. I completed medical school and pediatric residency in Toledo, Ohio, before moving to Jacksonville with my wife, Jade, in 2022. After an unforgettable honeymoon backpacking through Europe, we settled down here and welcomed our daughter, Daisy Mae, in the fall of 2024.
In September 2025, I was blessed with the opportunity to purchase Village Pediatrics from Dr. Pat Elvir, who founded the practice in 2007. Dr. Elvir has been both a mentor and an inspiration to me, and I deeply admire the warm, family-centered culture she built. It's an honor to carry on her legacy at this cornerstone practice in the St. Augustine community.
I'm known for being easy-going and fun (expect a high-five or fist bump when I walk in!), but I take my role in your child's health very seriously. I look forward to getting to know your family and walking alongside you through every stage of your child's journey.

Outside of work, you'll usually find me at church, spending quality time with my family, working on home projects, or out in nature. I love woodworking, archery with my compound bow, and traveling—especially my past solo backpacking adventures through Europe.
Fun fact: My family and I rolled up our sleeves and handled many of the office renovations ourselves, including adding a brand-new 4th exam room and fresh paint throughout!
